BEACON (31 October 06) - A first alarm was transmitted at 10:45am on the last day of October for an automatic fire alarm at 30 Roundtree Court. Upon arrival of the first due engine, Engine 33-11, he reported smoke showing from the building. Upon further investigation companies found a hot door and a heavier smoke condition in the neighboring unit, Unit 32. At this time, 33-1 (Chief Joseph), requested a re-dispatch as a structure fire in a two story 30x100 town home structure. Also at this time companies stretched an attack line into the building to knock down the fire.

Companies found a basement fire in Unit 32 of the town home building with extension to the floors above. Companies quickly knocked the fire down and held the fire to the one unit. Smoke from the fire spread to Unit 30 of the building setting off the alarm system and thankfully alerting the fire department before it caused greater damage.
