BEACON (15 February 2009) - At around 1:30pm, a full first alarm assignment was transmitted for a reported fire in the rear of a vacant 4 story factory building. Upon arrival of companies, they found a small fire in the loading dock area of the large 4 story factory. Companies quickly knocked down the fire with a 1 3/4" attack line and overhauled the area. Witnesses reported seeing kids start the fire and arrest of juveniles were made shortly after dispatch by city police.
