BEACON (30 July 2009) - Just before 2am, a first alarm of fire was transmitted for a stove fire, possibly out, house full of smoke at 60 Phillips Street. Upon arrival of Car 33-1 (Chief Joseph), he had found a stove fire that was extinguished, however upon further investigation fire was found in the wall and in the attic. A second alarm was transmitted at this time brining Rescue 33-55 and Village of Fishkill Quint 42-12 as the FAST truck to the scene.

Companies stretched one 1 3/4 inch attack line and opened up the roof to extinguish the fire. The fire was confined to the kitchen and the attic area above the kitchen. The fire took about 25 minutes to extinguish and there one one occupant who suffered minor smoke inhalation injuries. The fire has been attributed to unattended cooking.
