BEACON (14 Feb 05) - The new Engine 33-11 responded to it's first worker. At about 5:30AM a first alarm was transmitted for reported smoke in the apartment at building 4 of the South Davies Terrace Projects. The fire was intentionally set on the outside of the building and it worked it's way into a first floor storage room and up the wall to the apartment above of the 3 story 50 x 100 apartment building. A second alarm was also called bringing in V/ Fishkill Fire as the FAST team and Rombout and Glenham for station covers. The fire was confined to the storage room and apartment wall above by two hand lines. An arrest was made in relation to it being arson.
